Metaphysics is inclusive of Theocentric, Holistic, New Thought, Transcendent, and Transpersonal Metaphysics, and provides spiritual tools and guidance that focuses on awakening people to the Universal Source, or God that is expressed uniquely within each individual.
Ministerial Services
Rev. Astrid is an Ordained and active Minister and Metaphysical Practitioner with the International Metaphysical Church, having graduated from the University Seminary, University of Sedona.
The beliefs of the Church can especially be applied in practical ways to improve individual lives, society, and humanity
Awakening People to God, or more secularly, the Universal Source, within each individual.
The Metaphysical Church, in addition to a biblical framework, synthesizes various holistic, metaphysical, transcendent, esoteric, transpersonal, psychical, psychological, yogic, and mystical schools, applied in resonance to the spiritual needs of individuals and is regarded by many as a more authentic interpretation of the teachings of Christ to finding the Kingdom of God within oneself.

Spiritual Guidance and Ministerial Services
House Blessings
House blessings are sacred, typically Christian, ceremonies or prayers designed to dedicate a new or existing home to God/Divine/Source, seeking protection, peace, and the casting out of negative energy. They often involve a minister who blesses rooms with prayers, holy water or oil, praying for the residents’ well-being and asking for Divine presence within the home
Spiritual Counselling
Exploring with the individual their past patterns, stories and ‘programs’, and their spiritual needs, incorporating various methods to better connect one to their own real self, with that of God, The Divine or Source.
Increasing Mindfulness and using Meditation is intrinsic to this process.
Bespoke Wedding Vows
Working with you in crafting an authentic, articulate and ‘just you’ vows as you together publicly create the union of your marriage. Vows not only initially set the intentions and purpose, thus creating a map and ‘reference point’ of your marriage, vows also can be the proverbial anchor points that are set at the wedding to secure you during any of life’s potential future storms. Whether you are spiritual, and know that the Divine is the Ultimate Source, or if you are downright secular, vows still provide what any true contract does, clarity and truthfulness in stated promises, given and received, expectations of mutuality, respect, intentions, reciprocity and purpose. Vows are the metaphorical scaffolding for the building of a marriage, with agreed to design and building plans. The exercise of creating vows can provide an important tool to help sort out if there is genuine synergy under all the excitement and emotion, or not.
Marriages
Marriages, as are all formally legal ceremonies noted below, are conducted under the denomination of The International Metaphysical Church.
Vow Renewals
Celebrating you both and your partnership in life is so much richer than even your original wedding day. With wisdom and experiences to add to the ceremony, these Renewals are both a celebration and valued modeling for younger ones of the value of successful marriages, making the family richer on many levels as well as the recognition of your enduring marriage.
Ceremony for Celebrating the Adoption of Children.
This ceremony provides a definitive recognition and celebration of a child (or children) being made an integral part of a family. Older children, of course, can play a part in the ceremony, too.
Ceremony for Divorce.
Especially where children are involved, Divorce Ceremonies are being requested more frequently as a measured and respectful recognition of new chapters starting for individuals and families.
This simple ceremony can bring great comfort to children and publicly sets the intentions and expectations of behavior going forward with the parents, and for the children, models respect and resilience from the adults that although their parents’ marriage did not last, that their parents’ love for and commitment to them is unchanged.
Children can also be involved where they can express their feelings and hopes, and feel publicly validated, heard and reassured in the process they had no control over.
The perception of support from others attending in the ceremony can be a critical resource for children who may feel shamed or flawed from their changed family situation.
Life Change or New Beginnings Ceremonies.
There are many reasons why someone feels the need to celebrate a change in one’s life.
It is a need of humans for rituals and ceremonies that signal or demarcate one stage or period of life from another for an individual.
This personal need is not being met for various social changes.
Major accomplishments, new business, moving into a new home, news of a new baby, graduation, successful healing whether spiritual or health… such a ceremony acknowledges the transition has occurred and reinforces the new identity or phase and is uplifting, energizing and fun.
Elder Ceremony
A beautiful way to pay tribute to an aging relative or friend to be celebrated and honored. Thanking them for their contribution and legacy, wisdom, achievements, history, happy moments shared etc. It gives them a state of dignity, pride and esteem as they enter their full maturity. This ceremony is also invaluable to younger people who can see the respect and celebration, the value of and connection to their older family members. This is critically needed in these times.
Of additional worth is a deepening of identity within one’s family and friends.
This Celebration can have family and friends comforted when a celebrated person passes, that the stories and what they wanted to say has been said and shared. This can help enormously with processing grief. How many times have we heard, “I wish I could have told them…!”?
This Ceremony can also be had for those with a terminal diagnosis of any age.
Funerals
In the Metaphysical Church we believe (simplified) that as individual extensions of God who is experiencing life through each of us, death is when we transition into the whole of God from this mortal life experience. Funerals conducted with a Metaphysical Minister may provide greater comfort to loved ones than many traditional beliefs and services.
Funerals can also be done for pets, too.
The loss of a much-loved pet can be more devasting for many than the loss of a human family member. Acknowledging the passing of a pet in a formal ritual validates the owners’ loss and pain as real, recognizes that the love between pet and owner/s will always continue, despite the lack of physical presence in this life now.
Baptisms
In the Metaphysical Church and denomination, we believe baptism is ‘from within’ where the individual’s mind is Baptized in faith when bathed in a state of awakening to God.
However, many need and want the symbolic event of baptism and as an Ordained Minister this is an available service.
